I’m proud to announce the recipients of the 2018 California Legislative Black Caucus Scholarship! It was a difficult decision, as my office received applications from many worthy students, but I look forward to hearing great things from those who were selected from my district.

The museum has a new & exciting new floor plan for the amazing array of cars on display, from Henry Ford's experimental cars to his Model T to Jerry Brown's Blue Plymouth.
Grand opening celebration of new, state-of-the-art Downtown Commons Medical Offices showcased how much this new Kaiser has to offer Sacramento: expands healthcare access; provides quality healthcare services like primary care, pediatrics, women’s health, oncology, and pharmacy; and opens up a comprehensive Latino clinic to serve Spanish-speaking patients.
Congrats Class '18 Cristo Rey High School Sacramento and to my intern Sthefani Aguiriano! First in her family to attend college, Sthefani is enrolled in CSU East Bay to follow her passion for physics and engineering. Best of luck to her and all the graduates. Te deseo la mejor de las suertes!

It was an honor today to present HR 82, declaring March 11-17, 2018 as Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week. More than 40k people in California are affected by MS, with at least 2-3 times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. Thanks to National Multiple Sclerosis Society for your incredible work!
