Statement from Assemblymember Kevin McCarty (D - Sacramento) Chair of Budget Sub- Committee 2 on Education Finance, regarding budget vote:
"The budget passed by the Legislature reflects our values by improving the lives of Californians and is a responsible one, ensuring the state's strong fiscal foundation. This budget provides significant new investments in early childhood education, K-12 education, and increases access and affordability to higher education, while also expanding adult and career technical education for those not going to college but seeking a well-paying job. These prudent new education investments will grow and strengthen our economy for the future."
