(SACRAMENTO, CA)— Assemblymember Kevin McCarty (D-Sacramento), chair of the Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Education Finance issued the following statement regarding fact finder’s report regarding CSU faculty labor dispute with the CSU:
“In my current role as chair of Assembly Budget subcommittee on education finance, I hear first-hand each week from students and faculty on the importance of valuing California’s educators. And as a proud graduate of CSU, I appreciate the importance of having good faculty in the classroom. For a long time, faculty has deserved a raise and the recent findings of the independent fact finder corroborate that. It is my hope that the CSU will side with the report and find a resolution before the impending strike. I proudly stand with the CSU faculty in their ‘Fight for Five.’”
