Assemblymember McCarty’s Statement on Funding for Capitol Corridor

For immediate release:

(SACRAMENTO, CA) –Assemblymember Kevin McCarty (D-Sacramento) released the following statement today regarding funding for the Capitol Corridor announced by California Transportation Agency in their 2016 Transit and Intercity Capital Program (TIRCP) grants.

“In more good news for Sacramento area commuters, yesterday the Capitol Corridor got an added boost of state cap and trade dollars to fund increased train service between Roseville and Sacramento.  The additional $8.9 million in funds will go a long way in moving this needed project forward.  The reduction in vehicle trips on the freeway will benefit both residents and the environment.”
