(SACRAMENTO, CA) – Assemblymember Kevin McCarty (D-Sacramento) has named Track 7 Brewing Company as the 7th Assembly District’s Small Business of the Year. Founded in 2011 by Jeanna and Ryan Graham and Becca and Geoff Scott, these families established Track 7 Brewing Company as an outlet for creative expression through unique and artisanal beers.
The name, Track 7 Brewing Company, was selected in part due to the brewery’s proximity to the old Western Pacific railroad tracks and as a nod to the integral role the railroad has and continues to play in Sacramento’s rich history. Track 7’s approach to beer is in the vein of the firmly-hopped West Coast tradition, but without fidelity to a singular “style”. This unfocused approach allows Track 7 to experiment with all varieties of beer, regardless of American, Belgian, English, or German inspiration. Their savvy business success is demonstrated by their high regard in the community and proven ability to grow from a small, family owned business to now employ nearly 40 individuals.
“The Graham and Scott families are an important part of the Sacramento community and vital to the prolific growth of California’s craft beer industry,” said Assemblymember McCarty. “I am pleased to recognize Track 7 Brewing Company for their success and leadership in bringing Sacramento’s trend setting brews to homes, stores and restaurants across California.”
Track 7 Brewing Company was honored for their success as a California small business during the 2017 California Small Business Day awards luncheon in Sacramento on June 5, 2017. Sponsored by the California Small Business Association and various local business associations and chambers of commerce, this annual awards event highlights the vital role that small businesses play in creating jobs and fostering economic development throughout California.
