Assemblymember Kevin McCarty presents $275K to City of Sacramento for Airport Little League

For immediate release:

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Kevin McCarty (D – Sacramento), and Senator Dr. Richard Pan have presented a $275,000 check to the City of Sacramento for the Airport Little League. The funds, acquired through the 2021 California state budget, will be used to renovate the little league’s diamond #4 field and the T-ball diamond area.

“It is an honor to allocate state funds to complete the field renovations initiated by the city’s master plan. I am glad we have a state budget surplus to invest back into our community and our youth”, said Assemblymember McCarty. “Baseball is a great outlet for kids to express themselves, have fun, learn teamwork and leadership skills, and a great bonding experience for families.”

League President Joanne Jauregui commented, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much. Thank you Senator Pan, Assemblymember McCarty and the state for giving back to the children of our community.”
